I am a young emerging sculptor from Somerset soon to be graduating from Falmouth University School of Art. From childhood I was surrounded by curious reclaimed objects and trinkets, my Dad would collect obscure finds from working at the ‘dump’ and brought them home. Objects rich in character with history unknown to us. This influenced my fascination in sculptural objects and qualities of form. I am a maker; metal fabrication allows me to draw and mold objects realizing them into 3D. Archaeology directly influences my artistic making, the feeling of anticipation unearthing an archaeological artefact is similar to that of creating sculpture – they share moments of discovery.
