CALISTA WILD

The aim of my work is to venerate and honour the unsung heroes of our ecosystem by creating a narrative that holds them in high regard. In this narrative the spirits of plants and animals merge and interlink to create deities and higher beings that don’t just represent humans. I highlight insects in this piece to draw attention to the importance of their place in the world and hopefully inspire others to take more of an interest in their conservation and protection.
