ALICE DUDLEY

Alice Dudley is a visual artist who takes a playful approach to creating work with feminist undertones, using an experimental mixed-media approach to explore the changing role of the female form in visual art. Within her practice there is a particular focus on the reclamation of traditional women’s crafts.

Much of her work centres on the lasting stigma attached to female sexuality, juxtaposing the archetypes of the Goddess and the Witch in an effort to illustrate changing attitudes towards female sexuality, from celebration to persecution and the spaces in between.
