FALMOUTH LIBRARY, THE MOOR
It is very lovely to be a part of the street view exhibition for the second time running! This time I have collaborated with Matthew Newing. Together we have brought forth a piece that is inspired by 09.04.20. This is a date that stood out to both of us during the time of the shutdown. On this date, Matthew's neighbour brought his disc jockey equipment out into his front garden on a road of terraced houses facing each other. The street was then transformed from a passing place, with neighbours going in and out of their houses not interacting much with each other, to the street being filled with joyful music and the neighbours chatting and dancing together! This event was a springboard for the neighbours to come together and form connections and engage with one another in a friendly way. This memory is a beautiful one that brought us so much joy, that we are very grateful for.
