Mia grew up in the busy city of Brighton but spent a lot of their childhood roaming the Sussex downs and climbing trees. She moved to Kernow in 2016 to study her BA in Illustration and has now gone onto studying their MA in Authorial Illustration. Mia seeks inspiration within the tangled roots that connect nature to her everyday life: in music, in art, in ideology and folklore. With a deep connection to them, trees are a frequent occurrence that crop up in her artwork, as well as visually depicting our historic and intrinsic link between humanity and nature and how we interact with it throughout our life.
