FALMOUTH LIBRARY, THE MOOR

I am an illustrator and student ordinarily based in London but from Falmouth. These pieces are taken from a zine I began making at the start of the pandemic to help me reflect on my feelings and thoughts, becoming a kind of self care activity when I had few other outlets. I found the therapeutic act of drawing and writing a cathartic way of releasing these thoughts and making sense of the anxieties and insecurities I felt about myself and the state of the world. I’ve always thought of art as about the process of making it, itself an act of political resistance to our fast-paced, productive, capitalist world.
