Emma Bass is a papercut artist known online as The Paper Otter. She uses a craft knife to hand cut thin card into a wide variety of subjects from wildlife and portraits to vehicles and kids' favourites. She sells her designs in an Etsy shop and also takes private commissions via her social media. She is passionate about making unique, detailed and bold art that makes people happy and curious.

Her background is in science and teaching. She has a degree in Zoology and worked in scientific research before becoming a science teacher. Her love of wildlife and nature is the main inspiration for her creations.
